Our technicians take several things into account when reviewing a chipped or cracked windshield, so we ask for a quick consultation before telling you whether you need a replacement or a simple repair. A good rule of thumb: if the crack or chip is bigger than a quarter, it will probably need to be replaced.

A chip repair can take about a half hour; replacement can take two to four hours. Timing depends on the job and current workload.
